5 December 2019

A police land cruiser that was stolen from Shauri Moyo police station was on Thursday morning recovered in Mwingi.

This is after one of the police officers who had been arrested in connection to the disappearance of the car led detectives to where it had been taken.

Nairobi News has established that the car, of registration number GKA 024V, is currently being driven to Nairobi by the detectives.

"The car was found on Thursday morning after one of the officers led detectives to where it was," said Mr Musa Yego, the Flying Squad police boss.

The vehicle, which belongs to the transport pool in Jogoo House, disappeared on Dcember 3 and a report was made at Shauri Moyo Police Station by an officer identified as Cyrus Nyandago.

In his report Mr Nyandago said that he parked the vehicle at the station on October 4, 2019 only for the vehicle to go missing.
