Luanda — The Secretary of State for Budget and Public Investment, Aia-Eza da Silva, stressed today in Luanda the need to strengthen regional integration and the expansion of intra-regional trade so that African countries can ensure economic progress.
The official, who was speaking at the opening of the forum of the SADC Network and Development Finance Institutions, explained that the bet will allow African countries to become more competitive.
To this end, she said it was necessary, among other actions, to diversify production and exports, to strengthen markets and institutions, to invest in infrastructure and vocational training and to reduce business costs.
Under the theme "Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as the Core of SADC's Industrialization Strategy, the event aims to increase competitiveness, industrialization and regional integration as a context for industrial development.
She considered equally important, among the priorities of this regional organization, the exchange of experience, to disseminate and strengthen human and institutional capacity.
