Nigeria: Magazine to Honour Governors At Annual Lecture

An Abuja based news magazine, The Toastline, is set to honour Alhaji Abdullahi Sule and Emmanuel Udom, governors of Nasarawa and Akwa Ibom states respectively and so many others at its annual lecture.

A statement by the publisher of the magazine, Dr. Akinyele Babarinsa, indicated that the duo would be recognised for "bringing their private sector prudent management into governance of their states."

Other governors who would also be honoured include Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna, Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Samuel Ortom of Benue, Willy Obiano of Anambra and a former governor of Lagos, Akinwumi Ambode.

According to the statement, the event which would hold on December 17, in Abuja would also honour the incumbent Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Malam Mele Kolo and the immediate past GMD of the NNPC, Dr. Maikanti Baru.

The theme of the lecture is "A Common Ground for Nigeria Federalism, and will be delivered by Rep Jim Okolo, representing Idemili federal constituency.
