Nigeria: Police Kill 3 Kidnappers On Abuja-Lokoja Road

The police intelligence respond squad yesterday killed three suspected kidnappers, in army uniform, near Kwaita Village, along the Abuja-Lokoja Road.

It was gathered that the squad, led by DCP Kolo, engaged the kidnappers in a shoot-out.

A driver, who escaped being abducted, Kabiru, said the incident happened around 6pm.

He said the kidnappers suddenly appeared on the highway from the bush and opened fire on vehicles coming from the Lokoja axis.

A senior police officer confirmed the incident to our reporter.

The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, ASP Marian Yusuf, said she was yet to get the details of the incident.
