Angola: Civil Society to Contribute to State Budget Preparation

Luanda — The participation of the civil society in drafting and execution of General State Budget (OGE) is one of the recommendations of the "Final Joint Opinion Report" of the draft law on 2019-State Budget, approved on December 9.

The leader of Economic and Finance Commission of National Assembly, Ruth Mendes, said the participation of the social partners in the exercise is not common in the country, although there are records of the civil society to give contribution to the 2020 State Budget.

The Final Joint Opinion Report, approved on Monday by the 1st, 4th and 5th Commissions of National Assembly, is accompanied by the Draft Resolutions on Expenditure for 2020.

The meeting also served to check whether the recommendations made on 2020 Budget in the specialty committees were observed and was in compliance with.

The State Budget for 2020 will be approved on 12 December (Thursday).
