Kenya: Passaris Met Singer Jidenna and Netizens' Opinions Are Divided

11 December 2019

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris chance meeting with American-Nigerian eye candy singer Jidenna in Uganda has left tongues wagging and set social media ablaze.

The two took a picture together at the Entebbe Airport and Jidenna was donning a black and white stripped slacks while Passaris was putting on a white t-shirt and black pants.

The impromptu meeting was documented in a cozy and smiley selfie that the Woman Rep shared on her Twitter page accompanied with an adorable quote.

It was nice to bump into @Jidenna just as I landed at Entebbe and be introduced to his music catalogue. I'm proud of this son of Africa making waves globally with his unique blend of Nigerian and American culture. pic.twitter.com/SMBj8rAcDo

Passaris had travelled to Uganda to attend the East African Community Inter-Parliamentary Games that kicked off on Monday in the capital Kampala.

Opinion are however divided among Kenyans on Twitter on the photo and the timing.

Here is a sample of the views:

"Wait a Minute. The city governor in cell, deputy Governor resigned and women rep is in Uganda hanging out with Jidenna but the city is up and running. Am wondering if we actually need these 3 people or we just waste money paying them?" asked @OneJacobKelly.

I'd hang out with Jidenna as well.

These people are on holiday. You voters are on your own.
