Luanda — The national senior women's handball team is back home, coming from Kumamoto city, Japan, where they participated in the 24th edition of the World Championship.

Angola ranked 15th, improving 19th place in 2017 in Germany.

In this edition, on four occasions the Angolans were distinguished as best in the field: Albertina Kassoma (2 times), Captain Isabel Guialo and Under-Captain Azenaide Carlos.

Isabel Guialo, with a total of 40 goals in seven games, was the top scorer of the African champions, welcomed today "with honors" at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport.

In seven World Cup matches, Angola lost to Serbia (25-32), the Netherlands (28-35), Norway (30-24) and France (17-28).

Angola beat Slovenia (33-24), Cuba (40-30) and Argentina (30-27).
