South Africa: Deceased Police Officer's Wife Remanded in Custody for Murder

KwaZulu-Natal — Nonkululeko Ngwabe (44), briefly appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, 11 December 2019, for her alleged role in the murder of a police officer.

A lifeless body of Warrant Officer Thulani Ngwabe (51) who was stationed at Margate Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit was found with multiple stab wounds on the railway lines near Port Shepstone beach on 03 November 2019.

The Hawks' Serious Organised Crime Investigation team was allocated with the case docket for further investigation which led to the arrest of the deceased's wife Nonkululeko on Tuesday, 10 December 2019. Nonkululeko is expected back in court on 19 December 2019. More arrests have not been ruled out as investigation continue.
