Togo: Archbishop Kpodzro Joins Calls for Suspension of February Presidential Elections

Lome — Archbishop Kossi Philippe Fanoko Kpodzro, emeritus of Lomé, has echoed calls by opposition leaders and civil society groups for the suspension the February 22 presidential elections to pave way for electoral reforms.

The suggested reforms include reorganization of the Constitutional Court, establishment of a reliable electoral register and the reorganization of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
