Angola: MED Holds First General Education Meeting

Luanda — The Ministry of Education (MED) holds on Friday, in Luanda, the first meeting of general education, with the purpose of promoting an evaluation of the methodologies of the teaching and learning process.

According to a press release from MED to which ANGOP had access on Thursday, the event aims, among other objectives, to improve the perception of school managers about the assessment of learning and the design of educational projects, the assessment learning in the passing, automatic passing, and exam classes. It is also intended to promote a reflection on the measures to strengthen the organization and management of schools, in order to ensure the proper functioning of schools. The MED also advances that it expects participants, including directors of the Provincial Education Offices, heads of department of Luanda municipal offices and partners, to create a new approach for a clearer perception of school managers and the school community about automatic passing, list pragmatic measures for better management of learning, and develop a management model that responds to school challenges.
