Nigeria: Court Remands Ex-Convicts for Allegedly Robbing Hospital

Osogbo — A Magistrate Court in Osogbo, Osun State has remanded three men in prison for allegedly robbing the State Hospital, Asubiaro Osogbo.

The prosecutor from the Department of State Security (DSS), Olayinka Balogun told the court that the accused persons Sunday Ajilore, Abayomi Sunday and Oluwasegun Ojo, all ex-convicts, committed the offence on 26th of October, 2019.

The prosecutor said the accused persons stole laptop computers and mobile phones as well as a bag containing N100,000.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty. Their counsel, T.B Ayodele pleaded the court to grant them bail; however, the Magistrate, Mrs. Adebola Ajanaku remanded the accused persons in Ilesha custodial centre till February 13.
