South Africa: Cape Town Man Arrested for Cultivating Dagga At Home, 79 Plants Confiscated

A 37-year-old man was arrested in his Cape Town apartment on Sunday for allegedly cultivating dagga.

The arrest was made after police received information and conducted a search at the apartment in Bay Road, Sea Point.

They found 79 dagga plants, oil and drug paraphernalia, which were confiscated, according to police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut.

Traut said the value of the confiscated items had not been determined.

The man is expected to appear in court soon.
