Zambia: West Is Zambia - Lungu Assures Lozis

President Edgar Lungu has said that people of Western Province are Zambians and deserve a share of the country's wealth, however they choose to describe themselves.

The president said this yesterday at the Mongu Airport when he arrived in the province for a three-day visit.

President Lungu said he was in the province to show that Western Province or 'Barotseland' as some Lozis prefer to describe the area, was very much a part of Zambia and just as deserving of the kind of development that other parts of the country had seen.
