Angola: More Than 2,000 Houses for Sale in Zango 5 Housing Project

Luanda — A total of 2,390 homes (30%) out of an overall 7,964 located at Zango 5 housing scheme will be available for sale as from January 27, the secretary of State for Hosing, Joaquim Silvestre, announced last Tuesday in Luanda.

The official, who was speaking at the launch of the internet portal for the houses sale, said that residences for two of the three customer groups have already been sold, namely for public servants, corresponding to 40%, large public and private companies corresponding to 30%.

The homes that will be made available this time, he added, is aimed for individual persons, which corresponds to 30%.

Retired and pensioners, whose income is compatible with the value of the monthly installments or rents of the houses, are eligible to these housing projects as well.

The highest rate for paying monthly installments and rents is of 40 percent of the salary or other form of income, with the assessment of this capacity being made through a payroll declaration or income of the couple.
