Uganda: People Power Task Acholi Mobiliser to Explain Museveni Meeting

Opposition pressure movement, People Power has tasked its Acholi sub-region mobiliser, Bosmic Otim to explain himself after pictures emerged of him meeting President Yoweri Museveni.

Pictures of Otim, a popular musician in northern Ugandan emerged on social media showing him meeting Museveni. The ruling party, National Resistance Movement is in an overdrive campaign to recruit into its ranks as many opposition-leaning artists and musicians ahead of the 2021 general elections by offering them hefty monetary and material gifts. People Power is led by Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine who has declared his intentions to stand against Museveni in next year's general elections.
