Kenya: 7 Thugs Shot Dead By Police in Isinya

Nairobi — Police on Thursday morning shot dead seven people, suspected to be criminals in Isinya, Kajiado County.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the suspects were killed after opening fire on detectives drawn from the Special Service Unit who tried to stop the vehicle.

Instead, the DCI said one of the occupants started shooting at the detectives "prompting a fierce exchange of fire."

A statement from the DCI states that the 7 men are all linked to a series of robberies reported in Nairobi, Mlolongo, Kitengela and Isinya areas. No more details were offered,

"The detectives managed to fatally injure all the 7 occupants," reads the statement.
