Sudan: UNSC Extends UNAMID Term Until May

New York — The UN Security Council approved a resolution sponsored by Germany, Britain and Northern Ireland extending UNAMID term until end of the coming May.

The resolution stipulates that the mission would keep during this period all its sites and cadres along with putting other measures pertaining to its draw-down and exit after the end of this period.

The resolution also stipulates that the Council will issue a new decision in this connection before end of the next May.
