Angola: Covid-19 - Namibe Receives 90 Million Kwanzas for Disease Response

Moçãmedes — South-west province of Namibe received 90 million kwanzas for the acquisition of bio-security, logistics and other assets for the prevention and combat against COVID-19.

According to the spokesperson for provincial multi-sector commission, Miguel Ferreira, who spoke to ANGOP on Thursday, the money made available by the Central Executive is intended to reinforce the acquisition of biosafety material, including gloves, masks, alcohol and other means.

The province has 12 citizens quarantined in their homes.

The Namibe government created conditions in three hotels to accommodate possible cases of Coronavirus and two centers for treatment.
