Angola: Children Sheltering Centers Get Goods Donation

Luanda — Fourteen tons of miscellaneous goods were donated Monday to the "El Bethel" and "Não orfaos de Deus" or No God's Orphans childcare centers, located in the Zango Urban District, Viana municipality, in Luanda, in a solidarity initiative by the Sol Foundation.

Donated goods include rice, beans, cornmeal, pasta, yougurt, juice, milk, cooking oil, mineral water and mattresses.

Speaking to Angop, the head of Fundação Sol, Ambrósio Leonardo, stressed that the offer is part of the plan of this association, which consists of supporting childcare centers.

He said it was an important time to help people in need due to the Covid-19 pandemic that affects the world.

In her turn, the director of the No God's Orphans Center, Albertina Capitango, thanked the solidarity gesture of the Sol Foundation, for allowing the center to reduce the difficulties facing the 95 children.

She appealed to the other associations to also stretch a solidarity hand to those vulnerable people.
