Zambia: State Insists, Current Business Licence Regime Stays

The current business licensing regime will remain, as Government urges the business community to propose other workable measures on how to reduce cost of doing business.

It was not workable for Government to change the licensing regime during this period when the country was fighting Coronavirus downturn unless the business community can clearly substantiate their argument, Local Government Minister Charles Banda said in an interview at the weekend.

Dr Banda said the business community should be able to understand that the current crisis the country was facing arising from COVID-19 was not permanent.
