Botswana: Boteti MPs Donate Food Hampers

Letlhakane — Some Members of Parliament recently donated food hampers to the Boteti community for relief during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Boteti West MP, also Vice President, Mr Slumber Tsogwane and Boteti East MP, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe, with assistance from their families and friends, donated food hampers worth P75 000 to be shared equally between the two constituencies.

Food hampers comprised 12.5kg maize meal, 10kg sorghum meal, packets of macaroni, milk, sugar, tea (Five Roses) and bath soap.

Mr Lelatisitswe, who is also Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, said food hampers would be distributed amongst families of up to five members.

Meanwhile, Debswana assisted with transporting food hampers from Gaborone to Letlhakane and Rakops.
