Kenya: Floods Blamed on Uganda's Policy on Releasing Lake Water

Uganda's attempts to meet demand for electricity could be behind the recent floods that have rendered more than 32,000 Kenyans on the shores of Lake Victoria homeless, the Nation has learnt.

The East African Community (EAC) Council of Ministers suggests Uganda may have breached the agreements on how much water to release from Nalubaale dam -- the main outlet of the world's largest freshwater lake.
