Angola: COVID-19 - Angola Reports One More Death, Infection

Luanda — Angola has reported one more positive case of local transmission of covid-19 and a death, bringing the total number to 61 infections and four deaths in the last 24 hours.

This was said Saturday evening in Luanda by the secretary of state for Pblic Health, Franco Mufinda.

According to Mufinda, who was delivering the daily covid-19 update briefing, the new positive case is a 43-year old Angolan national resident of Luanda. Currently, Angola has 61 positive cases, four deaths, 18 recoveries, 39 active patients in stable condition, including 33 cases of local transmission.

The source added that 10.000 specimens have been tested, resulting in the 61 infections and

6.752 negative cases of covid-19.

He also informed that 1,056 people are currently in institutional quarantine, while 20 were discharged in Luanda (11), four in Lunda Norte and Bié and Zaire with two each. Malanje records two.
