Zambia: Yamba Releases K30m for Tazara, Zamtel, Railway Systems Retirees

THE Treasury has released K30 million to pay retirees of the Tanzania Zambia Railways (TAZARA), Zamtel and the Railway Systems of Zambia as part of the Government's ongoing commitment to dismantle domestic arrears.

Secretary for Treasury Fredson Yamba said yesterday in a statement that the K30 million would help to facilitate the settlement of terminal benefits to the eligible ex-employees, some of whom were represented by legal firms.
