Angola: COVID-19 - Eight New Infections, Two Deaths

Luanda — Eight new positive cases of covid-19 and two deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours in Angola, rising the total numbers in the country to 284 and 13, respectively.

Speaking to journalists during the daily covid-19 update briefing in Luanda, the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, said the new cases are two locally transmitted infections and six with unknown links.

According to the official, with these new cases, Angola's covid-19 figures show 284 infections, 13 deaths, 93 recoveries and 178 active patients.

The cases with unknown links have reached 43, while locally transmitted infections stand at 206, the source also said.
