Africa - COVID-19 Cases Across Continent Surpass 418,000 Mark, With 10,406 Deaths

South Africa July,2 (allAfrica news) -As of July 2, confirmed the COVID-19 case total from 55 African countries has reached 418,211.Reported deaths in Africa have reached 10,406 and recoveries 198,182.South Africa has the most reported cases - 159,333, with deaths numbering 2749. Other most-affected countries include Egypt (69,814 cases), Nigeria (26,484), Algeria (14,272), and Ghana (18,134).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well national and regional public health departments.
