Africa: Update COVID-19 04 July 2020

Eleven (11) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 3414 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to one thousand and ninety-two (1092). To date, five hundred and twenty-three (523) patients have recovered and been discharged, including eleven (11) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is five hundred and sixty-six (566) and two (3) deaths.

The new cases are from Kigali (8) and Rusizi (3), and heightened vigilance is required everywhere.
