Ghana: CPP Inaugurates Oversight Committee Towards Nat'l Delegates' Congress

The Council of Elders of the Convention People's Party (CPP) has inaugurated a five-member Interim Oversight Committee (IOC) to oversee the activities of the party towards the National Delegates' Congress.

It will be under the chairmanship of R.O. Frimpong-Manso with Dr. Adolf Lutterodt and Professor Nii Noi Dowuona as Chairmen for the Extended Congress Planning Committee and Vetting Committee respectively.

A statement signed and issued in Accra yesterday by James Kwabena Bomfeh Junior, Acting General Secretary of the CPP, said the action by Council of Elders was in keeping with the terms of the consent judgment adopted and granted by Justice Mrs Mariama Sammo, an Accra Commercial High Court '3' Judge dated Thursday, July 2, 2020.

It called on members to eschew tendencies that undermine the fortunes and progress of the CPP and wished them well.

"Let the conduct of every member reflect our much cherished song; There is Victory for Us," it added.
