Nigeria: FCT FA Chairman Tasks NFF On Appointment of Competent Coaches

The Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Football Association, Alhaji Abba Mouktar Mohammed has tasked Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to ensure that transparency and fairness is the main criteria in the appointment of national team coaches.

Mouktar, who spoke during a virtual personality interview segment on FCT Football Update said the selection must be open and transparent to ensure that only the best coaches are selected to handle the various national teams, especially the age-grade teams.

"Let the NFF give the job to the best coaches especially at the age-grade levels. That's the foundation of the future Super Eagles. We must take that very seriously.

"I am not concerned that the national teams do not have their technical crews, all I am more concerned about is that the selection process should be very transparent to allow only the best-qualified coaches get jobs. By so doing, the foundation of the Super Eagles can grow from there."

The FCT FA chairman reiterated that Nigerian is blessed with so many good coaches who are qualified to handle the national teams.

"We have a lot of good coaches in Nigeria that are qualified to handle the national team jobs so everyone should be carried along" he said.
