South Africa: Shooting Leaves Four Injured

Pietermaritzburg — Four people were injured this morning following a shooting incident along West Street in Pietermaritzburg.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived at the scene at 08h33 to find the local authorities already in attendance.

Paramedics began assessing one patient when they were informed that three other patients were found along the West and Long Market Roads.

Assessments showed that four people had sustained gunshot wounds, their injuries ranging from minor to serious.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported by various services to nearby hospitals for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
