Tunisia: Hfaiedh Calls On Government to Pay Third Instalment of Public Service Wage Rises in August

Tunis/Tunisia — Deputy Secretary General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) in charge of legal affairs Hfaiedh Hfaiedh called on the government to implement the terms of the agreement signed with the former government.

The agreement concerns the payment of the third instalment of the wage rises of state employees next August.

Speaking on the sidelines of the administrative committee of the UGTT held Thursday in Sousse, Hfaiedh told TAP the new round of wage negotiations will take place at the end of the current year or early next year, after it was scheduled for last April and postponed due to the COVID-19.
