Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank will be held virtually and in a global pandemic that nation states are grappling to manage against declining economic outcomes.

"I hope that we will all embrace the opportunities presented by the circumstances to individually, and collectively, reset and perhaps discard our old ways in favor of a build back better and greener post COVID-19," Dr. Kevin Kariuki, Vice President of Power, Energy, Climate and Green Growth, says.

He further explains that the current global climate dictates a need for innovation and resilience in development efforts on the continent.
