The Africa Investment Forum will hold a meeting with its Partners on 16 July from 8:00 a.m. to 12:40 p.m., and 17 July, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. GMT. This Partners' meeting comes at a critical juncture: Africa is facing twin health and economic crises arising from the COVID-19 pandemic that demand unified action for greater impact.

The Africa Investment Forum is Africa's investment marketplace, championed by the African Development Bank and its partners, to accelerate the closure of the continent's investment gaps. Since inception, the Africa Investment Forum has demonstrated strong partnerships and collaboration to "deliver as one for Africa."

The African Development Bank and partners launched AIF in 2018 to overcome a critical infrastructure financing gap that hampered Africa's economic development. At the follow-up Africa Investment Forum Marketplace event held in Johannesburg in November 2019, 52 of the 57 deals tabled, with a value of $40.1 billion, secured investor interest.

The Africa Investment Forum Founding Partners are the heads of institutions of:

the African Development Bank; Africa 50; Africa Finance Corporation; African Export-Import Bank; Development Bank of Southern Africa; Trade and Development Bank; European Investment Bank; and Islamic Development Bank.
