Morocco: Two Moroccans On Women Behind Middle Eastern Brands List

Dubai — Two Moroccans are on Forbes magazine's "Women Behind Middle Eastern Brands" 2020 list.

They are Salwa Akhannouch for her Yan & One brand and Mouna Abbassi for her "Izil Beauty" brand.

Forbes magazine's list includes women from the Middle East region or those who have created commercial brands in the region.

According to the magazine, in 2017 Salwa Akhannouch launched Yan & One, a well-known brand in the world of beauty, cosmetics and wellness whose products are used by celebrities.

Salwa Akhannouch is also the founder and CEO of the Aksal group, the exclusive distributor of leading commercial brands in Morocco.

As for Mouna Abbassi, she created the "Izil Beauty" brand in 2012 in Dubai. She specializes in the development of beauty products and set up her cosmetics factory last year in Ras el Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.

The Forbes list includes 40 women business leaders who have created commercial brands in the Middle East region.
