Tunisia: Interior Minister Says Resources to Fight Illegal Migration Built Up

Tunis/Tunisia — Interior Minister and Prime Minister-designate Hichem Mechichi said resources available to coast guards in Sfax were increased as part of the fight against illegal migration.

Mechichi also said, on the fringes of a visit Sunday along with President Kais Saied to the Port of Sfax, he will start talks with representatives of political parties and parliamentary blocs as of Monday to form a new government.

The PM-designate met last week with representatives of national organisations and economic and social experts.
