Angola: Covid-19 - 88 New Positive Cases, Two Deaths

Luanda — At least 88 new positive cases of covid-19 have been reported in Angola since the latest update of Wednesday evening, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 1.483.

The information was released Thursday evening in Luanda by the national director for Public Health, Helga Freitas, who said in the period in respect two died and 14 recovered from the disease.

Delivering the daily covid-19 update briefing, Helga Freitas said the ages of those infected range from two to 19 years. 75 are males.

She also reported one positive case in the capital of central Cuanza Sul province, Sumbe, and one in central Benguela.

The two deaths occurred in Luanda and Sumbe, the source stated.

With Thursday's figures, Angola's covid-19 statistics show 1.483 positive cases, 64 deaths, 520 recoveries and 899 active patients.
