Tunisia: Covid-19 - Three More Domestic Infections Reported in Kairouan

Tunis/Tunisia — Three more domestic COVID-19 infections were reported Sunday in Kairouan, bringing the overall number of cases in the region to 19 (18 domestic and 1 imported) since July.

Two women and a man aged over 60 tested positive out of 108 people with suspected COVID-19, Local Health Director Hamdi Hadhri told TAP.

Campaigns will be conducted as of Monday in the governorate to monitor compliance with prevention measures in public spaces, coffee shops and restaurants, the same source said.

The Local Health Directorate and Kairouan municipality called on citizens to respect barrier gestures, including social distancing, face masks wearing and regular hand washing to ward off transmission.
