Nigeria: Corps Members Task Council Boss On Welfare

13 August 2020

Some National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members under the aegis of FCT Residential Corpers Community (FRCC) have appealed to the Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha, to improve their welfare.

The FRCC Chairman, Okiti Emmanuel Ogrima, who made the request when the corps members in the area were on a courtesy visit to the chairman in his office on Tuesday, said if the welfare of corps members was given priority, it would enhance their service to their fatherland.

Ogrima also appealed to the council chairman to come to the aid of six corps members whose property were destroyed by a recent flood which wreaked havoc in the area.

The council's Vice Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Kassim Ikwa, who received the corps members in his office on behalf of the chairman, reiterated the council's desire in giving priority to the welfare of corps members serving in the area, and assured them that effort would be made to ensure that their allowances and other benefits were given to them.
