Tunisia: Covid-19 - Four More Domestic Infection Cases in Sfax, 1 in Ben Arous

Tunis/Tunisia — One more domestic case of infection with COVID-19 was recorded Wednesday in an elderly man in Ben Arous governorate, local health director Fethi Letaief told TAP.

He added that the patient will be admitted to the COVID-19 unit of the Yasminet Regional Hospital in Ben Arous.

In addition, the governorate of Sfax saw four more domestic infections, bringing the number of positive cases in the region to five.

These cases were discovered following tests carried out on 42 people suspected of having contracted the virus after having been in contact with a local COVID19 patient also infected by a recent returnee from Italy, director of preventive health in Sfax Mohamed Makhlouf told TAP.

The four patients, who are relatives, will be placed in the COVID-19 unit of Hedi Chaker Hospital, he said.
