Tunisia: Mechichi Government Lineup - 28 Members Including 8 Women

Tunis/Tunisia — Prime Minister-designate Hichem Mechichi presented, Monday at midnight, during a press briefing in Dar Dhiafa the lineup of his team.

Earlier, Mechichi was received by President Kais Saied, and handed over the composition of the government to him to be transmitted, in turn, to parliament in the coming hours.

The lineup of the new government is as follows:

Minister of Defense: Brahim Bartagi.

Minister of the Interior: Taoufik Charfeddine

Minister of Justice: Mohamed Boussetta

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad: Othman Jarandi

Minister of Religious Affairs: Ahmed Adhoum

Minister of Economy, Finance and Investment: Ali Kooli

Minister of Communication Technologies: Mohamed Fadhel Kraïem

Minister of Transport and Logistics: Moez Chakchouk

Minister of Equipment, Housing and Infrastructure: Kamel Eddoukh

Minister of State Properties and Land Affairs: Leila Jaffel

Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries: Akissa Bahri

Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines: Saloua Seghaier

Minister of the Environment and Local Affairs: Mustapha Laroui

Minister of Trade and Exports: Mohamed Bousaïd

Secretary of State to the Minister for Foreign Affairs: Mohamed Ali Nafti

Secretary of State to the Minister for Youth, Sport and Vocational Training: Sihem Ayadi

Mechichi affirmed his commitment to ensuring that the government works independently and in a spirit of interactivity and cooperation with all parts of the parliamentary landscape and the different political communities.
