Botswana: Terrorism Greatest Threat

Gaborone — Terrorism continues to be one of the greatest national security threats to many countries, Botswana included.

Answering a parliamentary question on September 7, Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Kabo Morwaeng said government acknowledged that terrorism posed the single most dangerous existential threat to any country's security due to its sophistication and unpredictable nature.

Sefhare-Ramokgonami MP, Dr Kesitegile Gobotswang had asked the minister to state whether there were terrorists and or terrorist cells in Botswana and explain their mode of operation.
