Angola: Covid-19 - Angola Reports 114 New Infections, Four Recoveries

Luanda — At least 114 new infections, one death and four patients recovered is the balance of the last 24 hours announced Thursday in Luanda.

According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, at the usual session to update figures for Covid-19 in Angola, the cases are 19 from Huambo, five from Cabinda, two from Huíla, one from Kwanza Sul and 87 registered in Luanda.

According to the official, the new patients are aged between one month and 87 years.

The group is made up of 84 male and 30 female patients.

In relation to the death, he said, this was an Angolan patient from Huambo province.

Regarding those recovered, he said, they are all from Luanda province.

The country has 3,789 positive cases, with 144 deaths, 1,405 recovered and 2,240 active.

Of the active people, one is in a critical condition with invasive mechanical ventilation, 13 severe, 44 moderate, 60 with mild symptoms and 2,122 asymptomatic.

About 440 patients are under follow-up in treatment centres.
