Nigeria: Southern Kaduna to Get First Private Varsity

Kaduna — The founder of the proposed NOK University, Chief Anthony Hassan, says the institution when established will prioritise science-related courses to equip graduates with self-employment.

He said the university when approved by the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) will have faculties of engineering, medicine and environmental sciences.

Chief Anthony made these known when he received the new executive members of the Kaduna Correspondents chapel of the NUJ on a courtesy visit at the university site in Kachia.

Daily Trust gathered that the proposed private NOK University which is situated at Kachia is the first in Southern Kaduna and fourth in Northwest Nigeria.
