Nigeria: Buhari Seeks Approval to Reimburse Five States N148 Billion

Abuja — President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday sought the approval of the National Assembly for the refund of N148.1 billion to five states for the execution of federal roads.

Buhari also yesterday transmitted the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) to the lawmakers for approval with the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, and the Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mallam Mele Kyari, urging the federal lawmakers to facilitate speedy passage of the oil reform bill.
