Nigeria: Startimes Rolls Out Premium Nollywood Channel 'Pbo TV'

StarTimes is partnering with Nollywood production company, Big Idea Mediaworks, to roll out PBO TV, a 24-hour entertainment channel dedicated to top-rated Nollywood movies, series, sitcoms, music and late-night comedy shows.

PBO TV is available on basic bouquet at N1700 (4.43 USD) monthly on channel 184 and smart bouquet at N2200 (5.74 USD) monthly on channel 017, the same bouquets housing recently launched Hollywood movie channel, TNT Africa.

The CEO of Big Idea Mediaworks Ltd, Gabriel Nworah, stated, "PBO TV celebrates the rich diversity of African Culture with our original and exclusive content. We are excited to bring PBO's live content and catalogue of original programming to millions of StarTimes viewers across Africa. Premium BoxOffice Television is premium-quality content for everyone. On the other hand, the CEO of StarSat, John Yan, said, "It's always an honour and a pleasure for us to provide local content and channels for our customers. We appreciate the vigour and charm of African cultures and hope that more creators will step up and make local content. We're working on bringing our customers even more local channels that celebrate their heritage."

The channel will be explosive with top-rated Nollywood stars on display.
