Angola: President Stresses Media Role in Combating Covid-19

Luanda — President of the Republic, João Lourenço said that Media plays a relevant role in raising awareness and educating citizens about the pandemic of the novel coronavirus.

The president spoke of the sector's commitment to inform society on the necessary measure to avoid COVID-19.

In his speech, delivered at the opening of the 4th Legislative Session of the IV Legislature of the National Assembly on Thursday in Luanda, the Head of State said that in order to fulfill its role the sector created various actions.

He mentioned, among other actions, daily information service on the number of cases, contamination, deaths and recovered cases.
