Luanda — At least 1200 projects approved by the Integrated Programme for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) are in execution, announced on Thursday in Luanda the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
In his Speech on the State of the Nation, delivered at the National Assembly, João Lourenço said that 12 other projects have already been concluded and 537 are in the process of being processed.
PIIM includes a total of 1,649 approved projects, which mainly focus on the sectors of health, construction and public works, urbanism, energy and water, security and public order, basic sanitation and administrative and municipal infrastructure and intervention on roads.
Launched in August 2019, PIIM initially envisaged a total of 236 actions in the sectors of health, education, construction and public works, administrative infrastructure, roads, energy and water, security and public order, urbanism and basic sanitation .
Created to cover the 164 municipalities in the country, PIIM has a total value of USD 2 billion, from the Sovereign Fund of Angola.
