Confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Kenya now stand at 77,785 after 413 more people tested positive in the last 24 hours, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has said.
The latest cases are from a sample size of 3,489.
At the same time, 12 more patients have succumbed to the virus, taking the national death toll to 1,392, the CS said in a statement on Monday.
On the other hand, total recoveries in the country have risen to 51,903 after 396 patients returned negative tests in the last 24 hours.
From this number, 326 patients are from home-based care while 70 have been discharged from various hospitals.
Nairobi, with 229 cases, had the highest numbers followed by Mombasa 46, Kiambu 22, Busia 18, Uasin Gishu 15, Kajiado 12 and Machakos 12.
Other cases were reported in Murang'a 9, Kisii 9, Kilifi 6, Nyeri 4, Kirinyaga 4, Embu 3, Kisumu 3, Laikipia 3 and Marsabit 2.
Homa Bay, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nakuru, Kakamega and Kitui all recorded a single case each.
