Rabat — The Moroccan film "Les coups du destin", by director Mohammed Lyounsi, has won three awards at the fifth edition of the Al Quds International Film Festival, held from November 29 to December 6 by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture in partnership with the association Vision Jeune.
The Moroccan feature film won the special jury prize, the photography prize and the golden olive tree prize for the best actress awarded to actress Yousra Tarik.
"I am proud to have won the award for best actress in an official competition for an international festival. This award represents the crowning of my efforts among a strong competition with famous actresses from different participating countries," Yousra Tarik said in a statement to MAP.
"Les coups du destin", the fourth feature film by director Mohammed Lyounsi after the films "Allo 15", "Ben x" and "The red scarf", represented Morocco at the Granada Film Festival in Spain last October and was screened as part of the official competition.
