Tunisia: Parliament Starts Debate On Proposal Amending and Completing Rules of Procedure

Tunis/Tunisia — The plenary session devoted to the debate on of the proposal amending and completing the rules of procedure of the House of People's Representatives (HPR) started around 1:00 p.m. under chairmanship of the HRP First Deputy-Speaker Samira Chaouachi.

The proposed amendment covers several articles including the ones related to parliamentary immunity, the change from one parliamentary group to another known as "partisan tourism" as well as the restructuring of the parliament at the level of the committees and the renewal of the structures.
